ANGELA JOHNSON - CECILY BARNES

Angela was born in Onalaska Washington and graduated from Onalaska High School in 1999played the staring role of Cecily Barnes. Acting has always been Angela’s passion. When she was a little girl she dressed up and acted in front of her family’s off television set. Onalaska High School had no drama department so Angela and some other interested friends started a drama club and together wrote and produced On the Verge of Forever, a four act play. About the experience of playing the lead in The Immigrant Garden. "I have learned that it is possible to stay earnest and true to the spirit of a story through the challenges and triumphs of creating a world on film". Angela will be attending Centralia College in the fall.


BEVERLY FITE - MRS. LOUISE BEAUCHAMP
Beverly grew up in Birmingham Alabama and after high school moved to New York and attended Vassar College where she graduated with a degree in music. Ms. Fite played in Oklahoma when it appeared first on Broadway in 1946. Since then she has had numerous roles in plays, on Broadway and in regional theatre. She was Mother Jones in The Most Dangerous Woman. "I like, " says Beverely, "bringing to life on stage the lives of strong women who have lots of character." Some of her favorite plays have been Angel Fire, The Quilters and the Glass Manageri. Ms. Fite has appeared on television’s, Campus Corner; a sit com for young children and numerous other television and radio shows. Children hold a dear place in her heart and for many years she has worked with children, involving them in the arts. "I just loves working with children, I find them so interesting." For twenty-two years Beverely has been a part of the ensemble for The Open Book Readers Theatre in New York. Ms. Fite appeared as Mrs. Beauchamp in the Open Book’s Off-Broadway showcase production of The Immigrant Garden in 1994. "I love Mrs. Beauchamp, and I adore The Immigrant Garden." Ms. Fite lives on Long Island close to her daughter and son and her two grandchildren who bring such pleasure to her life.

CURT HARRIS - ARTHUR

Curt is a self-described, all-purpose theatre geek. H has been actively involved in all aspects of college and community theatre, from ushering to directing since 1983. In recent years he has been the resident mask designer for Lower Columbia College’s Center Stage, designing and constructing masks for such shows as Oedipu, The Venetian Twins, and Six Characters in Search of an Author; shows in which he has also played major roles. Although he enjoys all aspects of theatre, his first love is acting. Some of his favorite roles have been Willis in Moon Children, Admiral Joseph Porter in H.M.S Pinafore, Friar Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet, and the title role in Moliere’s Tartuffe. Mr. Harris practices dental hygiene in Rainer, Oregon and is past due for a career change. Curt enjoyed his participation in the film. When Curt wasn’t Arthur he was Curt, carrying a ladder, or helping with moving sets. "I discovered I would love to do this for a living. I learned of 12-18 hour days full of high energy and bliss."


CRISTIAANA SABELLA - MRS. PERCY
Cristiaana lives and works in Seattle, Washington as ana actress. "I consider the script of The Immigrant Garden to be a show of God's hand. I am very grateful to be involved in this story. It was filling and happiness for me."

MICHAEL DUNCAN - QUENTIN

Michael lives in Seattle Washington where he is studying theatre and political science at the University of Washington. Michael graduated from High School in Kelso, Washington and with a drama scholarshiop went on to Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington. Some of Michael's favorite theatrical experiences are Nathan in Guys and Dolls and Pirendello's "Six Characters". "I wanted to try something new. I had no previous experience with acting on camera and thought it would be a great opportunity and fun. I was surprised to find out that movie making was as intimate as stage acting. I felt a great amount of support from fellow actors."


GUS VANDERHOLK - EDMUND BENTLY

Acting has been an integral part of Gus’s life for many years. His first acting experience was in middle school. At fourteen he played in Evergreen Playhouses production of "The Honorable Hiroshima Taro". Shortly after that he was Arty in Centralia College’s production of Neil Simon’s "Lost in Yonkers." Since, he has been acted back and forth between Centrailia High School and College productions. Before his role in The Immigrant Garden, Gus attended a six week summer session at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Gus is currently a Sophomore at Western Washington University, aspiring toward a degree in business. Gus is also looking at a possible transfer to the University of Southern California in L.A, where he could finish a business degree and explore his interest in professional theatre and film work. "I thought the movie would be a great opportunity. I love to act. I gained a lot of knowledge of how behind the scenes works and actual movie acting."


JESSICA KLINE - MARY

Ms. Kline is 18 years old and lives in Centralia Washington. She appeared in Evergreen Playhouse’s production of Charlie and The Chocolate Factor as Violet and was the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. At Centralia Community College she has appeared as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Audrey in, "As you Like It." She has also trained in jazz and ballet. "The process of being in the film was an incredible learning experience for me. I made friendships and learned a lot about film. I act because it makes me a better person, it forces me to trust myself. And, it makes me excited to wake up in the morning. I hope to receive my masters in theater, spend at least five years acting in various settings, and end up teaching theater/acting at the end of it all.


WIN EZELL - RUFUS

Win is a musician and actor who graduated from Centralia College and can be seen about town as an entertainer. He appears in the film as the manager of Oakville Harware who loves to go fishing with Arthur. His significant other is Christi and has two fun-loving children.


PETER LEWIS - RIGOR

Peter J. Lewis was born in Guatemala and was adopted when he was six months old. He grew up in St. Helens, Oregon and was very active in his community. Peter has always enjoyed reading, music, theatre and motion pictures. Peter has appeared in several stage productions at Lower Columbia College in Longview Washington; "The Marriage Proposal", "Tartuffe" and "A Cheever Evening". Peter is currently attending classes at L.C.C and looks forward to doing more projects with C. Tad Devlin and Caroline Wood. Peter heard about the auditions from Curt Harris (Arthur). And because Peter had imagined that one day he would do film, he auditioned. "Sometimes there was frustration on the set, lots of technical stuff, waiting and all that, but more, much more than that was the magic that happens when everyone is working together for the best results of the film. It was a highly rewarding experience."


GABE HACKER - CHRISTIAN

Gabe lives in Centralia Washington and attends Centralia High School. He acted in plays while in middle school and continues in high school to act in plays. Gabe is a musician and plays the sax and bass guitar in the Pep Band and the high school Jazz band. "I saw an article in our newspaper, in it was information about auditions. I thought it would be a great opportunity. I gained insight on professional film making, such as how detailed it was."


MADELINE LOCKWOOD - ELIZABETH

Madeline lives with her parents in Hillsboro, Oregon. For the last five summers she had taken Shakespearean language workshop and playlabs at Tygres Heart Shakespeare Company. In her high school freshman year Madeline co-adapted and directed two short stories by Ray Bradbury. Ms. Lockwood is currently in her fourth year of drama at the Northwest Academy, a private school in Portland Oregon with an arts and technology focus. Last year Madeline with her drama class created a full-length original play. At present along with her other classes Madeline has added a voice class. "I love everything about theatre," she says, " from acting to costumes and sets to playwriting to directing. I want to do it forever! I thought doing the film would be an enormous opportunity to get involved at such a young age in a movie. It was too good of a chance to pass up. I gained personal confidence and confidence as an actress.


PHILLIP A. KENNEDY - ALEX

Phillip was born and raised in Longview, WA and graduated in 1999 from Mark Morris High School. He has done over 60 local theatrical productions in both the acting and technical aspects of the plays. He has earned various awards for his accomplishments. "I have devoted most of my life to help young kids learn that music, theatre and the arts in general, are something we need to hold on to. I also encourage anyone to do what I do, because anyone can if they put their mind to it." Phillip enjoyed his part in the film "So many people came together, all from their own backgrounds. It was nice to meet new people."


CAITLIN VINCENT - ANN

Caitlin , age 14, is best knowon for her stage work. She has performed with Issaquah Summer Stock as well as in a variety of school productions, playing the parts of "Nancy" in "Oliver," and "Scarecrow" in "Wizard of Oz," in addition to ensemble work in "The Music Man," "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," and "The Secret Garden." As a soloist in the Pine Lake Ballet Ensemble, Caitlin has performed in barious venues in the northwest. She currently studies dance and voice and is a freshman in high school. "The Immigrant Garden" is Caitlin's first film. "I thought doing the film would be a good experience; to learn about the movie business, also it was intriguing idea of doing something different. I also liked the time era of the film. I had a lot of fun and got to meet and work with a wonderful variety of people. i gained knowledge of acting skills and emotions on screen. It was a great experience."


TABITHA OUELLETTE - SARAH

Tabitha was born in Longview Washington and attends high school there. Tabitha loves drama and hopes to pursue it as a hobby and maybe a career in the future. She has been involved in many R. A. Long High School’s Center Stage Theatre Dept productions, two of her favorite are Oliver and Wizard of Oz. In class productions she has played the part of Oliver and had roles in plays such as Moby Dick and Arizona Cowboy. Tabitha was assistant director with, a traveling theatre company, Missoula Children’s Theatre when it put up a show in Longview. "I always wanted to see what movie actions would be like. I heard of the auditions and decided to try my luck. I was exposed to a lot of new things and enjoyed interacting with new types of people. It was a great experience."


MARLEE RIGGINS - MISS RAWLS
Marlee lives in Centralia, Washington with her husband Bob and their two sons. "I was a student in Mr. Devlin's class and that's how I got involved. I love films and wanted the expirence of working on one. It was harder than I thought, but I glad I did it."-

TRACY MASON - SOLOIST IN CHURCH
Tracy resides in Centralia Washington where she was raised. She is married and the mother of two. In high school Tracy competed and placed in the top ten nationally in Expressive Reading, Poetry Recitation, and Vocal Solo competitions. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration frm Central Washington University. Currently she is a full time mom who is involved in her church and various playgroups and the Children’s Hospital guild.
